You know who you are.

Time flies so fast. This blog was all about our lives in diploma & now we're half our way in completing first semester in degree. It has been a hell of experience at the beginning but we can't complain much about it. We're "reluctantly" coping the whole new experience here in main campus. The internet speed at my house is kinda OKAY (that's what broadband is all about rite?), much to my anticipation to update something on this blog. Got an assignment to finish before midnight & i just need a reason to procrastinate. Lazy me! What to write? I'll expose the lives of Gertak Sanggul peeps here in degree. Since this is our personal space, i dedicate this entry much to the remembrance of our "courtships".

Gotta start with Iqram. He's now doing PR for his degree. We remain close & continue our so called smart partnership in degree for many assignments so far. He was reluctantly doing PR coz he was so into Office Management or OM. Luckily Mr. Jamaluddin, our "ketua program" persuaded him not to waste his time another 4 years doing degree with other faculty. Till this period, he's coping very well with PR & our lecturer likes him coz he's quite an opinionated kind of guy. Personally, i'm comfortable working with him coz we understand each other & he listens well to word of my mouth. Not that i'm bossy with him k. Let just wish him not to over "melatah" & "menggelabah" coz he's such a one damn talented man!

Next is Alin. My partner-in-crime. A cat lover. I called her "mak kucing" coz all kitties will come to her everytime she wistles them. Dunno how she does that. She stills driving her red Viva to her class. She's doing Broadcasting for life now. Got tonnes of assignments on her shoulders & still coping slowly with new environment she says. I'm the one who keeps telling her that she needs to be independent in degree & believe in herself. Don't let anyone let you down girl! Always trust that while others doing good, you do it better! Be it now we're goin our own separate paths, we still have the spirit to strive for more coz we're craving for success the way we're craving for food! Kata food lover... Positive & optimist please..

Skemanya gambar! This is Firdaus or Fido. Our "bapak" la. We just love to respect him by nature coz he seems like mature & calm. Relax & cool kind of guy. An easy pick to become a leader as well! This semester, he leads his classmates in Journalism for a project (a dinner if i'm not mistaken) & assisted by Najib! I never thought that you'll pick Journ la bro! dunno why but just unexpected but i know that he'll do it his way.. Last minute works always bring out the best in man kan? hehe..

Finally, I'm doin PR as Iqram. I was forced by my parents at first & decided to give it a try. After series of works & classes, i started to think PR pun PR lah.. ada aku kisah? Being a masscommite itself is enough for me to live up to than to think much about what to do in future. Doing PR as a PR student is rather serious & fun especially we have all kinds of people in my class. We're colors of rangoli kan? Subjects are kinda tough but i don't want to pressure myself too much this time. Just wanna sail through this semester & learn it slowly. I believe that i'm in the safe hands of God. Always will, always be..

My random thoughts have to end here. Got to finish my GPR assignment before 12 am. To those out there who considered themselves as our friends, we wish that our luck will always be on top. Remember us in your prayer as we remember YOU... You'll never knew how much a person loves, cares, misses you till you're apart of him/her...

The "Projek Terakhir Kami"

It's time 2 blog for my diploma's final presentation for the subject called Professional Project - muh favourite subject ever!

The project is about the One In A Million season 2, a reality singing competition produced by 8TV. Meaning to say, our research is all about da broadcasting world (i'v changed my major from broadcast to PR). Ironically, only Alin who pursuing her interest in broadcasting. Me & Iqram go for PR & Fido soars high in Journalism.

Our observation in 8TV is under the supervision of Kit. She is one very hardworking, friendly, professional, determined, talented, goal-oriented, multi-tasking n bla,bla,bla etc! I'm so inspired by her. Always had her coffee fix before start her work & sometimes during work. She looks so "tight" at first sight but very happy having to work with her even as "kuli" coz for the production team, everybody in the production set are "kulis". Got to know several other people but forgot to capture their pix. Got Nicole, Adam, Hendra, Alet, Tanya, Kak N, Helmi, Renee, Joey, ChongJee, etc.. they r bunch of crazy people paid to do crazy stuff for living.. envy them.

We started our observation from week 4 & continued until the Grand Finale on 29th February - yup it's d leap year. We managed to meet several interesting people like 8TV's CEO, Mr Ahmad Izham Omar (charismatic in person), the hosts, Awal & Marion, press people & not to mention all the contestants. Can't believe that these celebrities are normal being just like us. It's just they have the spotlight on them. Ayu, the winner for instance were so like our friend on set. I can tell that she's so simple & kasar. She needs a good PR to boost her career. Sarah Raisuddin who performed for my graduation dinner was also being approached during our project. Now, she will be singing for my PR Nite this term. What a profitable relationship huh?

Btw, one of the requirement for the subject is to go for a field trip to the industry. The whole class must go & my classmates chose to go to our research site! Due to some "unpredictable circumtances" as stated by Kit, the usual OIAM live concert on Friday was banned from the live telecast, so it has to be recorded for Friday viewing. So the recording was held on Wednesday for 3 consecutive weeks at 2pm. The number of live audience has dropped since. In one episode where the contestants had to perform with established artists, the hall was almost empty. Thankfully the number are increasing towards the Grand Finale.

After the Grand Finale, it was the perfect time for us to do our final report. The report writing process was pain in the neck, because that was the first time we were doing the actual paper work after learning research method in part 5. But at least it's now over! hehe.. Alin, Me , Fido & Iqram work hands in hands to finish the whole thing. With guidance by Dr. Mariah, everything went smoothly & fine till the presentation day. We presented quite well & i can tell that it's the only presentation in my diploma years where i think that we're completely well equipped & prepared. Be it the slides & appearance, we reach the peak of our diploma lives!

Now everything has over, & the our lives in degree in somehow very different than what we've experienced back in Puncak Perdana. Our legacy is left & remain still in our own hearts & minds. We will cherish moment we've spend together as we embark on a whole new journey. There will always be one thing that we will always remember... the Friendships we've created, nurtured & kept.

Due to some unpredictable circumtances, this blog has been in hiatus ever since the first entry. Let me explain; this blog is a brainchild of Jay with the obligation of the rest above to maintain it. However, we were caught in the middle due to our full-time commitments, not to mention some of us are rather busy doing part-time jobs. That leaves this blog being abandoned for so long & proved that we are definitely MEDIOTICS!
Now, this site is solely handled by the man, Jay & i will update on our final presentation & final report for our final year research.The content is in absolute prepared. Will be sent here A.S.A.P..
I also in misery of what i'm gonna do with this blog here after. In misery... seriously..

the end of the beginning...

"medioticspart6" - a name solely created by Jay a.k.a the bitchy with reluctant approval by his 3 other frenz, Fido, Alin & Iqram. This will be a series of collection for our final year field reports involving everything we heard, seen, & listened - "observation". Currently we are doing research on One In A Million by 8TV. The first report will be sent here by the man, Iqram. So let's wait & see. What we can confirm is just this online report is simply uncut, unedited, uncensored. Everything comes from deep within - for you us to know & for you to find out. Enuff said.
